Bedtime

So I return home after a night at the lake with girls discussing exciting topics like VBS changes, bath time, and adding a new Mom's meeting.  The house is fairly quiet.  YES!
I think to myself the kids are in bed.  As I tell my husband about my night our bedroom door starts to open slowly.  Yep, it's Titus.

Titus inherited his father's genes.  As pictured above.  He loves Super Heroes, and much like them and his dear old dad requires very little sleep.  Unlike his little brother (who shares his room) and mother (who sleeps in the adjoining room.)  See we LOVE our sleep.

This is the way Ezra was every time we went to the beach.  I would be on a blanket enjoying a good book next to him.  It's not that I don't love having fun.

It's just to be to maximum fun capacity I need sleep.  Titus however does not.  Add to this lack of need for sleep, the fact that in kindergarten he has rest time.  He doesn't have to sleep, but has to lay still.  This unfortunately leads to sleep for him, again inherited from his father.  Who when not moving or figuring square footage gets a bit drowsy.  Saying all that to say.  Getting him in bed and snoring by 9 is a feet.

So tonight I come home to a quiet house, or so it seems...... out pops little Titus.  Kirk, who has just finished his first coat of paint, doesn't seem as annoyed at Titus' lack of sleep as normal.  So I tell Titus to go to bed.  Quiet house.....NOPE!  Here he comes again.  I now am getting annoyed.  This time after Titus goes back into his room.

Kirk says..."I may have not been thinking and let Titus get Dr. Pepper at Burger King tonight.  He was showing me the new machine, and it was so cute how he told me he could add cherry.  Don't kill him."

AH HA! Now on top of probably napping a bit at school Titus has had caffeine after 6:00, or for that matter 3:00.  AHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!

So as I sit here typing at 11:21 at night instead of sleeping.  This is the picture in Titus' room.

Remove the sand and add jumping from the top of his bed, and you get the idea.  Oh he also has snuck the dog, who he "battles" into his room, and has a woken the beast.  Who no longer looks like this.....

and is now making his anger at his brother's late night battles known.  Oh the joys of a cranky baby tomorrow.  Maybe he'll sleep in, which means if I go to bed I could get a bunch of work done before he gets up.

Oh the joys of opposites attracting, and the offspring they produce.

HAPPY FRIDAY!
Blessings,
Dennae
